Anna Torv
Anna Torv is an award-winning Australian actress best known for her role as Olivia Dunham in the popular science fiction television series “Fringe”. Born on June 7, 1979, in Melbourne, Australia, Torv studied Performing Arts at Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and graduated in 2001.
After graduation, Torv began her acting career in Australian television, starring in the drama series “The Secret Life of Us”. Her breakthrough came when she was cast in “Fringe”, which ran from 2008 to 2013. Her performance in the series earned her critical acclaim as well as a Saturn Award for Best Television Actress.
Following her success on “Fringe”, Torv went on to play Dr. Wendy Carr in the Netflix series “Mindhunter”, which has further cemented her status as a talented and versatile actress. Her performance in “Mindhunter” was praised for its depth and complexity, and the series has been popular among both critics and audiences.
Torv has also lent her voice to the video game industry, notably in the game “Heavenly Sword”, where she provided the voice and motion capture for the protagonist, Nariko.
