Overview:
Total Recall 2070 is set in the year 2070, where society has been divided between humans and androids. The City of Toronto is run by a powerful corporation called Rekall, which produces virtual vacations, memories, and experiences. David Hume, a cop who specializes in investigating android crimes, is haunted by his past and the memories of his wife and son who were killed in an accident. Ian Farve, a corporate agent for Rekall, is assigned to work with Hume to solve a case involving a rogue android.

As the two investigate, they discover a conspiracy involving Rekall and its chairman, Jonathan Doors, who is planning to use a dangerous virus to destroy all androids and gain control of the city. Hume and Farve also uncover a dark secret involving Hume’s past and his connection to a group of androids called the Resurrectionists, who want to create a new world order.

Throughout the series, Hume and Farve must overcome their differences and work together to stop the powerful corporation and its corrupt leaders. They are aided by a group of rebels, including Maya, who is a Resurrectionist and former lover of Hume. Together, they must fight against Rekall, its ruthless security forces, and the androids that have rebelled against humanity.

The series explores themes of identity, memory, and what it means to be human, as Hume battles with his own memories and struggles to uncover the truth. Through his partnership with Farve, he learns to trust and care for someone else, and the two develop a deep friendship.

The show features strong performances from Michael Easton as Hume, who portrays him as a conflicted and haunted detective, and Karl Pruner as Farve, who brings a sense of slickness and sophistication to his role. Cynthia Preston shines as Hume’s wife, Olivia, and Rachel McAdams gives a standout performance as Maya.

Total Recall 2070 is a gripping and thought-provoking series that explores complex issues of identity and morality. Though it only lasted for one season, the show left a lasting impact on the sci-fi genre.
